Origin’s Lightweight NT-15 Quadro Has Fantastic Video Editing Power

There’s something great about today’s laptops, they are just becoming so ultimately powerful when it comes to graphics. So many companies have been focusing on the professional side of graphics, and many companies have made their very own (and very powerful) PCs for video editing professionals. Anywhere from Dell’s Precision 15 5510, to Lenovo’s ThinkPad P70, anyone from video editors to all creative types benefit from this generation of laptops. They only exceed the expectations of many, while excelling at video editing, as well as 3D. Origin PC, the custom PC manufacturing company founded by antecedent staff of Alienware in 2009, has updated its a very special laptop to maintain its portability, as well as feature Nvidia Max-Q for better performance and power.

For one, goodness gracious, this is a beautiful and strikingly flashy looking laptop. Although it is not as flashy as the more serious-looking gaming/video-editing rigs and desktops can be, it has the perfect balance of durability and power in its appearance. Although the improvements made to the NT-15 laptops are more internalized, professionals are most enthusiastic about GPU power end performance anyway. Therefore, all you guys are in luck. Featuring a 1920 x1080 resolution with IPS, this 15.6-inch laptop sports a much thinner body than its regular competition (weighing in at just 4 lbs), including those who do not feature the Max-Q technology that tends to bulk things up a bit.

Measuring just .69 inches in width, this is the same size as the previous Origin NT model, yet, as mentioned, this did not change the fact that Origin replaced Nvidia’s gaming-focused GTX 1060 graphics for the Quadro GPUs with Max-Q technology. This is meant to suit professionals more than anyone because it is so portable. Also suited into this model are some helpful ports, including a USB 3.1 Gen2, a USB Type-C that joins 3 other Gen1 ports, via a USB 2.0 Type-A connection. There’s also an SD card reader, Ethernet, microphone jack and headphone jack.

The new Origin NT-15 Quadros are said to be the most powerful thin and light laptops made by Origin PC, made with next-gen desktop-class performance. The keyboard features custom multi-color illumination, anti-ghosting, and great travel. Plus, there’s a 3-cell battery inside here, with 51.3Wh, lasting up to four hours when hitting the ceiling with mid-to-full performance.

Pricing depends on which level of graphics you choose. Fit for the NT-15, you’ll find Intel’s Core i7-7700HQ CPU processor inside, and graphic options include either Quadro’s P3000 or P4000. Memory includes 32GB DDR4 at 2,400MHz, and storage is either a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCI Express SSD, or the choice of up to a 2TB HDD or SSD. All of this concludes that the NT-15 Quadro runs between $3,073 to $3,885, and for a high-end notebook for graphic-heavy work, professionals will understand the price is right.
