Step 1

Use a Phillips Screwdriver to unscrew the

  • Disconnect the hard drive connector.

Separate clips outwardly to release the RAM/Memory.

Loosen the captive Heatsink/Cooling Fan Assembly screws.

Step 8

  • Loosen the captive Heatsink/Cooling Fan Assembly screws.
  • NOTE: If your model has Discrete Graphics there will be 6 captive screws and if your model has UMA Graphics there will be 4 captive screws.
  • Remove the remaining cooling fan screws (2 x M2 x 4mm).
  • Disconnect and remove the heatsink/cooling fan assembly.
Loosen the captive Heatsink/Cooling Fan Assembly screws.NOTE: If your model has Discrete Graphics there will be 6 captive screws and if your model has UMA Graphics there will be 4 captive screws.Remove the remaining cooling fan screws (2 x M2 x 4mm).Disconnect and remove the heatsink/cooling fan assembly.
IF REPLACING THE HEATSINK: Wipe off the old thermal paste. Then add a small dot of new thermal paste before screwing back on the heatsink.

Unscrew and remove the Wifi bracket (1 x captive screw).

Step 10

  • Unscrew and remove the Wifi bracket (1 x captive screw).
  • Disconnect the antenna cables.
  • Slide out the WiFi Card.

Unscrew and remove the LCD cable bracket (2 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 11

  • Unscrew and remove the LCD cable bracket (2 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Pull out the 1st LCD cable connector.
  • Unsnap the locking clip and pull out the 2nd LCD cable connector.
  • Pull out the 3rd LCD cable connector.
Unscrew and remove the LCD cable bracket (2 x M2 x 3mm).Pull out the 1st LCD cable connector.Unsnap the locking clip and pull out the 2nd LCD cable connector.Pull out the 3rd LCD cable connector.
Unscrew and remove the inner frame (17 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 12

  • Unscrew and remove the inner frame (17 x M2 x 3mm).

Disconnect the Speakers.

Step 13

Disconnect the CMOS battery.

  • Disconnect the CMOS battery.
Unclip the locking tabs and disconnect the motherboard cables.
