Use a Phillips Screwdriver to loosen the Bottom Base Cover screws (6 x captive screws).
Use a Plastic Scribe to pry apart and remove the Bottom Base Cover.

Step 3

Disconnect the Battery.

Step 4

Disconnect the cooling fan cables.
Unscrew and remove the Heatsink Cooling Fan Assembly (4 x M2 x 5mm) (4 x captive screws).

***BEFORE REINSTALLING YOUR HEATSINK: Completely wipe off the old thermal paste from the processor.

Then completely wipe away any old thermal paste from the heatsink.

Step 6

Apply a small amount of new thermal paste (slightly smaller than the size of a pea) on the processor.
