  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Latitude 5430 M.2 NVMe SSD

Before you begin: If you need help at any point, you can always contact Parts-People Repair Department for help with your diagnosis or repair.

Step 1

Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (8 x captive screws).

Step 2

  • Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (8 x captive screws).
  • Use a plastic scribe to pry apart and remove the Bottom Base Cover.

Disconnect the battery cable.

Step 3

  • Disconnect the battery cable.
There are 2 SSD types available for this model. The 2230 & 2280.

Step 4

  • There are 2 SSD types available for this model. The 2230 & 2280.
To remove the 2230 SSD: Unscrew and remove the thermal plate and SSD holder (3 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 5

  • To remove the 2230 SSD: Unscrew and remove the thermal plate and SSD holder (3 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Unscrew and remove the M.2 2230 SSD (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 6

  • To remove the 2280 SSD: Unscrew and remove the thermal plate and SSD holder (2 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Unscrew and remove the M.2 2280 SSD (1 x M2 x 3mm).
