Step 1

Separate the clips to unlock the RAM/Memory from DIMM slot 1.

Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 9

  • Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Disconnect the antenna cables.
  • Slide out the WiFi Card.

Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the keyboard cable.

Step 10

Step 12

Disconnect the speaker cable.

Step 13

Pell back the adhesive covering the lcd cable.

Step 16

  • Pell back the adhesive covering the lcd cable.
  • Unclip the locking tab and then disconnect the LCD cable.

Unscrew and then lift the right LCD hinge (2 x M2.5 x 4mm).

Step 17

Unscrew and remove the motherboard with the heatsink still attached (2 X 2mm x 1.8mm wafer) (2 x M2 x 4mm).

Step 18

  • Unscrew and remove the motherboard with the heatsink still attached (2 X 2mm x 1.8mm wafer) (2 x M2 x 4mm).

Unscrew and remove the heatsink (4 X captive screws).

Step 19

BEFORE REPLACING THE HEATSINK: Wipe away any old thermal paste from the CPU and heatsink.

Step 20

Apply a small amount of new thermal paste to the CPU.
