Step 1

  • Unscrew and remove the 2280 SSD from SSD slot 1 (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 9

  • Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 4mm).

Disconnect the antenna cables.

Disconnect the antenna cables.Slide out the Wireless/WiFi Card.
Disconnect the Cooling Fan cable.

Unscrew and then lift the Left LCD Hinge (3 x M2.5 x 4mm).

Step 13

Peel back the adhesive cover.

Peel back the adhesive covering the DC jack cable connector.

Step 18

Remove the DC Jack.

Unclip the locking tab and then disconnect the keyboard cables.

Disconnect the speaker cable.

Remove the Speakers.

Peel back the adhesive covering the LCD cable connector.

Step 25

  • Peel back the adhesive covering the LCD cable connector.

Separate the LCD Display Assembly from the Palmrest.

  • Unclip the locking tab and then disconnect the touchpad cable.

Unscrew and remove the Touchpad (2 X 2mm x 1.8mm wafer) (3 X 1.6mm x 2mm).

Step 28

  • Unscrew and remove the Touchpad (2 X 2mm x 1.8mm wafer) (3 X 1.6mm x 2mm).

Remove the Motherboard.

Step 29

  • Remove the Motherboard.
  • Note: the heatsink does not have to be detached from the motherboard.
The remaining part is the Palmrest Keyboard Assembly.
