Installation and Removal Instructions
Vostro 1400 Hard Drive
Step 1
- Slide the 2 battery latches towards the outside of the laptop.
- Slide the battery out.
Step 2
- Loosen the 2 retaining screws.
- Lift the hard drive door away form the laptop.

Step 3
- Using the black tape, lift the hard drive and caddy out of the laptop.
Step 4
- Remove the 3mm x 3mm screw on the right side of the hard drive.
- Remove the 3mm x 3mm screw on the left side of the hard drive.

Step 5
- Remove the hard drive caddy.
Step 6
- Slide the hard drive connector off of the hard drive.
