Installation and Removal Instructions
Vostro 1400 DVD Drive
Step 1
- Slide the 2 battery latches towards the outside of the laptop.
- Slide the battery out.
Step 2
- Remove the 2.5mm x 5mm optical drive retaining screw.
- Using the tip of a screw driver, slide the optical drive bracket to the left.

Step 3
- Slide the optical drive out of the laptop.
