In this Dell laptop tutorial we are going to show you how to install and replace the CMOS Battery on your Vostro 2521 laptop.   • 1 x small phillips head screwdriver
  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Vostro 2521 CMOS Battery

Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Step 1

  • Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Remove the Battery.

Step 2

Remove the Battery.Remove the Battery.
Remove the screw.

Step 3

Remove the screw.Remove the Access Door.Remove the screw.
Remove the screw.

Step 4

  • Remove the screw.
  • Using the tab, slide the hard drive to the left.
  • Remove the Hard Drive.

Remove the bottom keyboard screws.

Step 5

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws.
  • Remove the bottom palmrest screws.
  • Turn the laptop over & open it up.

Press the keyboard tabs in to loosen the keyboard.

Step 6

  • Press the keyboard tabs in to loosen the keyboard.

Unplug the keyboard cable.

Step 7

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the Keyboard.

Unplug the palmrest cables.

Step 8

  • Unplug the palmrest cables.
  • Remove the palmrest screws.
Unplug the palmrest cables.Remove the palmrest screws.
Carefully unsnap and remove the Palmrest Touchpad.

Step 9

Remove the CMOS Battery.

Step 10
