  • 1 x small flat head screwdriver
  • 1 x plastic scribe (optional)

Installation and Removal Instructions
Inspiron 15 N5040 (P18F002) USB Circuit Board

Slide the locking latch over.

Step 1

  • Slide the locking latch over.
  • Slide the battery latch to the left and lift the Battery out.

Remove the 2 hard drive screws.

Step 2

  • Remove the 2 hard drive screws.
  • Under the battery, remove the hinge cover screw.
Remove the 2 hard drive screws.Under the battery, remove the hinge cover screw.
Remove the 11 bottom palmrest screws.

Step 3

  • Remove the 11 bottom palmrest screws.
Turn the laptop over and open it up.

Step 4

  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
  • Press in the 4 keyboard clips to loosen the Keyboard.
Carefully lift the keyboard and turn it over.

Step 5

  • Carefully lift the keyboard and turn it over.
  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
Loosen the 2 top palmrest screws. You will not be able to remove them completely.

Step 6

  • Loosen the 2 top palmrest screws. You will not be able to remove them completely.
Unplug the 2 palmrest cables.

Step 7

Unplug the USB circuit board cable.

Step 8

  • Unplug the USB circuit board cable.
  • Carefully press the clip back and remove the USB Circuit Board.
