Installation and Removal Instructions
Dell G3 15-3579 Palmrest

Unscrew base cover (8 x M2.5 x 6mm)(2 x captive screws).

Step 1

  • Unscrew base cover (8 x M2.5 x 6mm)(2 x captive screws).
  • Use fingers to pry apart and remove Base Cover.

Disconnect battery.

Step 2

Unscrew bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 3

Unscrew and lift right hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).

Unscrew then disconnect I/O board (2 x M2.5 x 2.5mm wafer).

Step 8

  • Unscrew then disconnect I/O board (2 x M2.5 x 2.5mm wafer).
  • Turn over and disconnect I/O Board.

Unscrew and lift left hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).

Unscrew and disconnect Power Button Board (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 10

  • Unscrew and disconnect Power Button Board (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Disconnect motherboard cables.

Step 11
