Installation and Removal Instructions
Dell G3 15-3579 Display Hinges

Unscrew base cover (8 x M2.5 x 6mm)(2 x captive screws).

Step 1

  • Unscrew base cover (8 x M2.5 x 6mm)(2 x captive screws).
  • Use fingers to pry apart and remove Base Cover.

Disconnect battery.

Step 2

  • Disconnect battery.
Unscrew bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 3

Unscrew bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).Disconnect antenna cables and WLAN Card.
Unscrew and lift right hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).

Step 4

Unscrew and lift right hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).Unscrew and lift right hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).
Unscrew and lift left hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).

Step 5

Unscrew and lift left hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).Unscrew and lift left hinge (3 x M2.5 x 6mm).
Disconnect display cable.

Step 6

  • Disconnect display cable.
Separate Display Assembly from

Step 7

Use fingers to pry apart and remove Display Bezel.

Unscrew and turn over screen (4 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 9
