  • 1 x small phillips head screw driver
  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Dell Precision M2400 LCD Hinges

Slide the battery latches over and slide the Battery up.

Step 1

  • Slide the battery latches over and slide the Battery up.
Loosen the access panel door cover screw (Captive screw).

Step 2

  • Loosen the access panel door cover screw (Captive screw).
  • Remove the hard drive screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Slide the Bottom Base Cover down and lift it off of the laptop.
Loosen the access panel door cover screw (Captive screw). Remove the hard drive screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).Slide the Bottom Base Cover down and lift it off of the laptop.
Unscrew left and right hinge covers (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 3

  • Unscrew left and right hinge covers (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Slide the Hinge Covers up and lift them off of the laptop base.

Loosen the antenna cables and disconnect the LCD Cable.

Step 4

  • Loosen the antenna cables and disconnect the LCD Cable.
  • Remove hinge screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Turn the laptop over, open the LCD, and lift it off of the base.
Loosen the antenna cables and disconnect the LCD Cable. Remove hinge screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
Carefully remove the LCD Bezel by unsnapping it around the edge of the screen.

Step 5

  • Carefully remove the LCD Bezel by unsnapping it around the edge of the screen.
Unscrew and remove LCD Screen (4 x

Step 6

Disconnect the LCD cable.

Step 7

  • Disconnect the LCD cable.
  • Unplug inverter and remove screen.

Pivot the left hinge up and slide the LCD ribbon cable out.

Step 8

  • Pivot the left hinge up and slide the LCD ribbon cable out.
Unscrew and remove hinges (4 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 9
