The 2017 MacBook Is Official in Its Specs and Release Date, How Different Is It?

The Worldwide Developers Conference, held in San Jose, California ended on June 9th. This event is known to be an opportunity to physically express where technology intersects with the liberal arts, as well as the humanities. From it, new creative ideas and experiences are able to push society forward, all as so Apple claims. “It”, as in these steps, prove extraordinary talents and passions can in fact change society in a positive way; and during the WWDC, multiple sessions were held showing off the next generation of apps using newly-announced Apple offerings. Additionally, the WWDC offers hands-on labs for learning about countless new technologies, ones which coders and experts can apply from the help of Apple engineers. The most well-known moments of the WWDC, however, have been dedicated to to the likes of any new Apple product or accessory.

In this case, the product of the 2017 Computex is the latest Macbook iteration. This new version is no joke, recently updated and being considered as close to the ultimate laptop as Apple has ever gotten (yeah I feel as if I have said this before?). Besides the latest MacBook propelling itself as Apple's most ultraportable laptop yet, the new version has a slower processor than the Mac Pro, and just one USB Type-C port. Although we find this to be irritating in some cases, in other cases, this could be the ideal laptop. For example, frequent travelers and on-the-go peeps need less ports to get their work done. Not to mention, in general, laptops are for folks who don't need a ton of space, or who don't need processors that run like a gaming rig, or a video-editing device. Plus, if that were the type of machine you would need, you would be looking for something with a full desktop monitor, keyboard, speakers, and large power supply. Most of the things we rely on include our apps, documents, photos, all of course considered cloud worthy elements.

As hinted, if you love to Netflix and chill, as they say; plus, are a normal human being, and participate in general email-checking and social media browsing, all you really need is a keyboard and a decent screen. Of course a processor that works pretty well isn't going to hurt, and that's what makes the Macbook so good. Not only does it feature a stunning display- hi-rez with some extra oomph, it has a full size keyboard. It's not going to give you all of the performance of the Mac Pro, yet might you enjoy how it trades in for such a thin-and-light machine. Now, if you're thinking, “Well my iPad does this”, actually, it doesn't quite. This machine will run desktop apps, even the full version of Photoshop. And of course, anything with a keyboard to click on and a trackpad is going to feel like a better multi-tasker.

So this version gets the 7th generation Intel ”Kaby Lake” CPU processor at 4.1 GHz turbo speed. This is 300MHz faster than last year’s model, and to top it off with cherry, graphics are another win-win, with 4GB of RAM from AMD’s Radeon Pro 560 GPU. While the last generation MacBook had the issue of sacrificing performance just to be small, the 2017 MacBook maintains the former weight of 2.03 pounds, all while amplifying its specs towards better, well everything. The brand new 2017 MacBook has a enhanced its keyboard, processing speed, has more robust graphics, and otherwise remains the same in the right areas- same enclosures, same trackpad, same screen, and rose gold, gold, space gray, and silver color choices.
