  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Alienware 14 R1 (P39G001) Palmrest Touchpad

Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.

Step 1

Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.Slide the Base Cover down and remove it from the laptop.Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.
Remove the 4 - M2 x 3mm screws.

Step 2

Remove the 4 - M2 x 3mm screws.Unplug the cable.Remove the Battery.Remove the 4 - M2 x 3mm screws.
Remove the 4 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.

Step 3

Remove the 4 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.Unplug the cable.Remove the DVD Optical Drive.Remove the 4 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.
Unplug the indicator light cable.

Step 4

  • Unplug the indicator light cable.
  • Remove the 9 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.
Unplug the indicator light cable.Remove the 9 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.
Separate the palmrest and turn it over.

Step 5

  • Separate the palmrest and turn it over.

Unplug the cable.

Step 6

Unplug the cable.Remove the Palmrest Touchpad.
Unplug the cable.

Step 7

Unplug the cable.Remove the 4 - M2 x 2mm Wafer screws.Remove the Speaker.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.

Step 8

Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.Unplug the cable.Remove the Power Button.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.

Step 9

Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.Remove the Indicator Lights Circuit Board.Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.
Remove the backlight cable tape.

Step 10

  • Remove the backlight cable tape.
  • Unplug the backlight cable.
  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
Remove the backlight cable tape.Unplug the backlight cable.Unplug the keyboard cable.
Remove the 8 - M2 x 3mm keyboard bracket screws.

Step 11

Remove the 8 - M2 x 3mm keyboard bracket screws.Remove the Keyboard Bracket.Remove the 8 - M2 x 3mm keyboard bracket screws.
Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm keyboard screws.

Step 12

  • Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm keyboard screws.
Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm keyboard screws.Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm keyboard screws.
Remove the Keyboard.

Step 13

Remove the Keyboard.Remove the Keyboard.
The remaining piece is the Palmrest Touchpad.
