Dell’s New Inspiron Line Offers Something for Everyone

DellInspironComputexLineWhile most of the tech giants at Computex were showcasing the latest and greatest they have to offer in the way of smartphones, tablets and smart wearables, Dell showed up ready to prove that they still do what they know best, and that they can still do it better than the competition. Rather than devoting precious man hours to the development of trending gadgets, whose success is an uncertainty at best, Dell completely re-vamped their Inspiron line, adding some welcome upgrades to their PC’s, laptops and 2-in-1 devices.

Dell originally made a name for itself as a PC powerhouse and their latest line of all-in-one (AIO) PC’s aims to reinforce their presence among the competition. The new Inspiron 20 3000 has a 19.5-inch HD+ display and is powered by Intel’s Braswell Pentium processor, while the Inspiron 24 3000 has a 23.8-inch full HD screen and offers you the choice of either AMD or Braswell processor options as well as an optional AMD Radeon R-series graphics card. Both AIO’s will be available in black or white and come with the option to add an edge-to-edge screen for your stylized visual pleasure. Both come with the standard features you’ve come to expect from Dell, multiple USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, wireless and wired network connectivity, and a 4-in-1 card reader. The Inspiron 24 3000 is already available for purchase starting at $480, and the 20 3000 model should arrive in October with a price tag of $330.

DellInspironComputexLine1The newly announced Inspiron 5000 series laptops also stick to the theme of “something for everyone”, offering 14-, 15- and 17-inch models at mid-range prices. Dell states that these laptops have “sharp high resolution displays, firm keyboards that are easy to type on for hours, exceptional battery life and great wireless performance”. The 15- and 17-inch models come with a Full HD 1080p screen and HD displays are available for the 14-inch as well as a 15-inch variant. Most notably, the 14-inch model comes with a touchscreen in all available configurations. The laptops run on Intel chips varying from Celeron to Pentium to the latest 5th gen Core processors, and hold a wide range of price tags from $450 for the 15-inch up to $670 for the largest of the three, the 17-inch.

DellInspironComputexLine2Last but not least, Dell announced their latest hybrid machine, the new Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 series. This little shape shifter comes with a 15.6-inch IPS touchscreen and a 360-degree hinge that easily shifts from a standard laptop setup to tablet mode to a propped up tent configuration and even a stand mode that uses the keyboard as the anchor. Dell promises at least eight hours of battery life per charge and even included a backlit, spill resistant keyboard for further consumer peace of mind. Other highlights include built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio software tuning and a super-slender, portable 20mm thick forged aluminum frame. The 2-in-1 has a base price of $549 and will be available starting June 23rd.
