Installation and Removal Instructions

Lift the battery out of the laptop.

Step 1

  • Slide the latch over to unlock the battery.

Remove the hinge cover.

Step 2

  • Remove the screws.
  • Remove the hinge cover.

Slide the access door down.

Step 3

  • Remove the screws.

Step 4

  • Unplug the antenna cables.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Remove the wireless WLAN card.

Remove the mSata Solid State Drive (SSD).

  • Remove the screw.

Separate the clips & remove the memory.

Unplug the keyboard cable.

Step 7

  • Loosen the plastic cover.
  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws.

Remove the bottom hinge screws.

Step 8

  • Remove the bottom palmrest screws.
  • Remove the bottom hinge screws.
  • Unplug the DC jack cable.

Remove the bracket screw.

Step 9

  • Unplug & loosen the antenna cables.
  • Remove the bracket screw.
  • Remove the bracket.
  • Unplug & loosen the display cable.

Unsnap the bezel around the keyboard.

Step 10

  • Turn the laptop over & open it up.
  • Unsnap the bezel around the keyboard.
Remove the keyboard.

Step 11

  • Remove the top keyboard screws.
  • Remove the keyboard.

Remove the top palmrest screws.

Step 12

  • Unplug & loosen the palmrest cables.
  • Remove the top palmrest screws.
  • Remove the palmrest.

Remove the display assembly.

Step 13

  • Remove the left & right hinge screws.
  • Remove the display assembly.

Remove the screw.

Step 14

  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Lift the circuit board & unplug the CMOS battery.

Unplug the WiFi catcher cable.

Step 15

  • Remove the CMOS battery.
  • Unplug the WiFi catcher cable.

Remove the screw.

  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Remove the fan.

Loosen the screws.

  • Turn the base over.
  • Loosen the screws.
  • Remove the heatsink.

Remove the bracket.

Step 18

  • Remove the bracket screw.

  • Remove the DC jack.

Remove the motherboard.

Step 19

  • Remove the motherboard screws.

  • Remove the speaker screws.
