Installation and Removal Instructions
Inspiron 15 (7537) 7000 Series USB I/O Circuit Board

Loosen the screws (2 x M2 x 8mm).

Step 1

  • Loosen the screws (2 x M2 x 8mm).
  • Loosen the captive screws (cannot be removed).
  • Remove the access door.

Remove the screws (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 2

  • Remove the screws (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Remove the battery.
Remove the screws (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).Remove the battery.
Remove the screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 3

  • Remove the screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Lift the hard drive out of the laptop.
  • Unplug the hard drive connector.
Remove the screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).Lift the hard drive out of the laptop.Unplug the hard drive connector.
Unplug the antenna cables.

Step 4

  • Unplug the antenna cables.
  • Remove the screw (1 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Remove the wireless card.

Remove the bottom keyboard screw (1 x M2 x 4mm).

Step 5

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screw (1 x M2 x 4mm).
  • Remove the base assembly screws (5 x M2.5 x 5mm)(3 x M2.5x2.5mm).
  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
Remove the bottom keyboard screw (1 x M2 x 4mm).Remove the base assembly screws (5 x M2.5 x 5mm)(3 x M2.5x2.5mm).Turn the laptop over and open it up.
Press the keyboard clips in and carefully turn the keyboard over.

Step 6

  • Press the keyboard clips in and carefully turn the keyboard over.
  • Unplug the keyboard cables.

Remove the palmrest screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 7

  • Remove the palmrest screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Close the laptop and turn it over.
Loosen the antenna cables.

Step 8

  • Loosen the antenna cables.
  • Remove the bottom base assembly.
Loosen the antenna cables.Remove the bottom base assembly.
Unplug the cable.

Step 9

  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the circuit board.
Unplug the cable.Remove the circuit board.
