  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Dell Latitude E6420 LCD Screen and Rail

Slide the battery latches towards the outside of the laptop until they click.

Step 1

  • Slide the battery latches towards the outside of the laptop until they click.
  • Lift the battery out of the laptop.

Turn the laptop over and open it up.

Step 2

  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
  • Carefully lift the edge of the bezel up until it unsnaps.
Work your way around the edge of the bezel until it is removed from the screen.

Step 3

  • Work your way around the edge of the bezel until it is removed from the screen.
Remove the 4 bottom rail screws (4 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 4

  • Remove the 4 bottom rail screws (4 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Remove the 2 top rail screws.
Remove the 4 bottom rail screws (4 x M2.5 x 5mm).Remove the 2 top rail screws.
Carefully lift the screen out of the back and flip it over.

Step 5

  • Carefully lift the screen out of the back and flip it over.
  • Peel back the tape and unplug the LCD cable.
Remove the screws on the left and right rails and remove the rails (4 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 6

  • Remove the screws on the left and right rails and remove the rails (4 x M2 x 3mm).
