  1. Does dell n5010 has lcd inverter? I have a problem with my lcd screen. My dell beeps 8 times.

Do I need to replace whole lcd package?

    • nmorgan

The N5010 uses and LED style screen, so it will not use an inverter. What happened to cause the beep code? Were you replacing something or a spill or some other damage?

Hi, I have one of these machines and I am experiencing a gray screen sometimes, or a horizontal line across the display. When this happens, nothing works (trackpad, keyboard). By applying pressure with your thumbs on both sides of the bottom of the LCD a couple times, it usually goes back to normal. I am thinking the flex cable has a problem of some sort?? Should I try checking the connections, by following these instructions, or do I need to buy a new LCD flex cable?
    Thank you!!
