i have a dell 1735 with a t5800 processor i purchased a x7800 from ebay at a good price iv read on a few treads that my laptop will support this processer is that truth or fiction i dont want to burn up my motherboard will my battery last long with that processer i read the intel comparrison my stock temp is 85c will the jump to 105c hurt anything my computer is in grat working order i recently upgraded my hard drive to a 7200 rpm 500 gb from the 5200 rpm 320 gb the ram is stock at 4g what should i expect from my computer if it works will it be better or worse thanks

    • I honestly couldn’t tell you if it’s compatible. The x7800 is within the specs for the 1735 but it would depend on the socket type. What I can tell you is that I don’t see any of the extreme processors listed as compatible with the 1735. The worst case is the laptop wouldn’t turn on with the x7800 but you wouldn’t risk killing the motherboard. If it fits the socket it might work i just don’t have a system the test on and find out.
