I would just like to know is installing the windows os and drivers as simple as putting the cds in and installing as you would have done on the old hard drive?

    • It is the same process. Load the CD, partition the new hard drive, and install windows. When it is complete you will have to update Windows and the drivers.

I put my new hard drive in, but when I go to load up the OS it can’t find my hard drive, even after reseating it. Help?

    • nmorgan

The laptop should give you an error saying the hard drive isn’t found. You will need to Format, Partition, and reload the OS. After that, the hard drive will be recognized.
