To whom it may concern:

First, I never write reviews or testimonials, so for me to be motivated to submit this is a first.

As a computer repair company, we often have to order laptop components. The vast majority of the companies we deal with have terrible customer service, provide sub-standard parts, and in general have proved to be a real obstacle in our repairs. We have found a handful of reliable vendors and try to stick with those when possible. So when I ordered from parts-people.com and received the incorrect part, I thought that I was in the oh-so-familiar cycle: deal this an RMA form, repack the part and ship it, and then wait for the replacement. In this instance we were in a rush situation with the customer, so when I called their customer support I was prepared to be very upset.

To my surprise, they were extremely friendly and helpful. Once they realized that they had shipped the incorrect part, they immediately overnighted us the correct one on their dime and said that we can ship the other one back at our convenience. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable and the parts were in pristine condition.

From here on out, parts-people.com will be my first stop when searching for Dell parts. Thank you!



I was given a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop by a friend who told me if I could make it work it was mine.   I was having issues with the video display but wanted to be sure of what needed to be replaced so spoke to a tech buddy of mine who told me – “Hands down you want to go with Parts People, and since you are in Austin you’ll be able to go to them.”

I made the 10 minute ride during lunch and got the LCD replaced.  The system is like new and I couldn’t be happier.

My Latitude docking station died.  I "googled" what I was looking for, found the Parts People site without having to look through scads of listings.  Found the replacement part very easily and ordered immediately.  It was A LOT less expensive than at other places.  It arrived yesterday, as advertized and securely packaged.  Plugged everything in and I am up and running without a hitch.  I don't normally write reviews, but this was a great experience all the way around and this first time customer will be back and I will recommend them.

I just wanted to let you know that yesterday and today was my first time dealing with you're company, and I'll be a long time customer. I can't remember the gentleman that I talked to on the phone, but he was VERY helpful, and took care of everything I needed. I needed a specific screen, and you didn't have any in stock yet, but there were some being tested so he had the testers make them higher priority yesterday. They weren't up today when I checked the site, but when I called back, within 5 minutes he had one available on the website so I could get it overnight. He also made sure it would go out today, even though it was after the shipping cut off time.

Dear Parts People:

You guys really came through for me!  The "Grade A" replacement part you sent me looked brand new (and, I'm pretty sure it was), and carefully packaged.  All the screws, spacers, etc. for the palm rest and touch pad were in place, and the surface covered with protective film (hence, my conclusion it had never been used before).  I would have gladly taken advantage of your very reasonable flat fee labor charge, but am somewhat of a DIY-er, and couldn't be without my notebook for more than the couple of hours it took me to tear it down, replace the palm rest/touch pad and reassemble it.

I was tempted to go with a used part from some stranger on eBay, who was charging less (for a clearly used part), but then makes up for it with inflated shipping charges.  But then I read sterling reviews about Parts People, with a better warranty than I could find elsewhere, and with service second to none.  And, you don't use "shipping and handling" as a way to increase your profit margin.

Thanks for help, and your honesty.  You helped breathe new life into my three-year-old Dell notebook.  I'd have been at a loss without you!

I'm sorry it has taken so long to get back with you, but I have been on multiple missions up north into Iraq doing different missions on up-armoring HMMWVs. I want to thank you and tell you that the keyboard arrived safely and securely just when you said it would. I transplanted it onto the laptop, and it is working fabulously. I ordered an LCD Hinge Kit for my Dell Inspiron 8200 on Monday 9/18/06 at 11:12 AM.  I was a bit leary because ordering online is a hit or a miss sometimes.  But I took a chance on Parts-People.com and was pleased with the quick turnaround.  I received the LCD Hinge kit today, Wednesday 9/20/06, and installed it.  The new hinges work better then the originals.  I am very pleased and will use the Parts-People again for any parts needed for my Inspiron.
